How To Play
Official Rules
- Before the game begins decide home and away, with the coin toss (optional)
- Teams will have 12 possessions and rounds to score, unless they are mathematically eliminated before the 12th possession. We suggest playing the full game, to keep your game average.
- Each team's possession will have three "Scoring" bags. The fourth bag is the "Field Goal bag"
- After each possession, the player clears the board for the next players possession.
- Each possession, players can score 0, 3, 6, 7, or 8 points. (see score card description)
- Similar to the game cornhole, players feet must be behind the front of the board if playing duel boards. If playing a single board, feet must be behind the shooting marker. Players can throw from either side.
- Starting the game is the away team, from that point on the losing team always shoots first possession each round. If the game is tied, the away team would shoot first that round.
- Missed bags cannot be used for scoring unless you are attempting an 8 point play. (see Eight Point description)
How To Score
The Score Board
The scorecard will help players keep accurate score throughout the 12 possession game and is a great help for those high scoring games.
Zero Points
When a player throws a bag and it lands touching any of the four turnover lines it is considered a turnover and that player's possession is over, resulting in zero points for that possession.
If your three scoring bags are missed and the fourth bag field goal attempt, this results in zero points for that possession.
Three Points
If one of your three bags passes through the uprights and lands in the hole, that team will score three points and the possession is over.
If none of your first three bags resulted in any points or turnover. You must throw your fourth remaining bag from your field goal marker closest to the board you are throwing to.
Six Points
If any of your first three bags lands with at least two tips of the bag in the end zone you score six points and proceed to the yellow field goal marker to attempt the extra point. Keep in mind the bag can not be past, over, or touching the back white end zone line.
Seven Points
If any of your first three bags lands in the end zone hole, that team scores seven points and possession is over.
Eight Points
The most challenging to score is the eight pointer. If one of your bags is missed as seen here in the image and one of the follow up bags goes in the end zone hole dragging the missed bag in with it, it will result in eight points and possession is over.
